Project Manager, for Cape Advisors, Inc.
Hiring Tristate Construction Solutions Inc. has been the best decision we have made in a long long time. Not only did Tristate Construction Solutions finish our project on time but under budget as well. Mr. George Kourkounakis owner/operator and Founder of Tristate Contracting Solutions was a real pleasure to work with. George’s many years of architecture and engineering experience found ways to improve and save our budget. Time and time again we found ourselves relying on his expertise, honesty, and professionalism, characteristics not found in today’s new construction era. We at Cape Advisors Inc. would strongly recommend Tristate Construction Solutions to any developer out there looking for a construction company that will take your plans and delivers what they promised. Tristate Contracting Solutions was the backbone of this project; hiring Tristate was a Grand Slam Homerun!!!!

My son and I practice Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology together in Forest Hills and Manhattan. George, who owns the company has spearheaded renovation and construction work in both offices and is currently doing a gut renovation on our Upper East Side apartment. Having done many construction projects over the years, I have a broad basis for comparison.
George and his team have been extraordinary in every way. The work is clean, elegant, sturdy, and timeless. The design team made efficient and aesthetic layouts that are at once practical and beautiful. The work is meticulous. Most of all the workers always arrived as promised and were clean, courteous, and cooperative. George is easy-going and avuncular. Nothing is ever a problem. We have used Tristate Solutions repeatedly and look forward to future projects.

Dear George
I want to thank you for the excellent work your team performed to remediate the flood damage to our basement after the major storm system hit Westchester country this past fail. Your advice to not only remediate the current situation but to also help provide measures to help prevent reoccurrence in case of another flooding event of that magnitude was much appreciated. Even after a subsequent flash flooding rain, our basement has remained dry.
The team was professional and did their work well – given all the clean-up, dust, etc. of getting ruined wet and moldy drywall and damaged items out of the basement and installing new drywall and sanding – every evening the team packed things up neatly and kept the area clean. The new basement floor looks great and is much more practical than what it was and the basement no longer has the odor of mildew and dankness. The team was friendly and helpful in so many respects.
Thanks for a job well done and kudos to your team!

I am pleased to write a letter of reference for Tristate Contracting Solutions, Inc. In early 2022 we were notified by the Nassau County Department of Health that our building was required to undergo a significant lead abatement project. Our 108-year-old school building houses 17 special education preschool and early elementary classes. We have over 130 students in our building every day, receiving classroom special education services, as well as therapeutic services. This lead abatement project posed a significant challenge to our school, as we did not have the luxury of closing the building or relocating our students during the construction project. Our abatement project included encapsulating most ceilings in classrooms, hallways, and bathrooms, encapsulating multiple classroom walls throughout the building, encapsulating all staircases in our four-story building, and scraping paint from stairwell handrails and some doorframes.
George Kourkounakis, the Founder and CEO of Tristate Contracting Solutions, was a pleasure to work with. George immediately recognized that as an educator, I personally have little knowledge of contracting and construction work, and he was patient and professional as he explained the scope of work in a manner I comprehended. Our school also did not have a maintenance supervisor or general construction manager to coordinate the work, so George was understanding and accommodating to the multiple questions I posed regarding the work to be done. Once the abatement work began, the challenge was how to run a school program during the day, with construction work needing to occur. Once again, George was extremely flexible and accommodating to an atypical work schedule. The workers would arrive at our building at the end of the school day, and worked Monday – Thursday until 11:00pm, as well as worked on Sundays. We were so grateful and appreciative that Tristate Contracting Solutions was able to work with this schedule, so as not to interfere or endanger our students during the school day.
Each morning when we would arrive to school, it was clear that the workers were highly trained in cleaning up after themselves. The spaces in which they worked were always clean, dust-free, and their equipment was packed away in a storage room we made available to them. The work that was done was truly top-notch. George and his team took the time to add finishings to the work, such as moldings around the ceiling, and decorative moldings around doorframes and windows. In addition to the contracting work, Tristate Contracting Solutions also painted the walls and ceilings that required abatement. Their work was truly excellent. They were able to match colors to our existing room colors, and the painting work they did was high quality. Tristate contractors were also highly skilled with electrical issues that arose during the construction project.
I am so pleased that we chose Tristate Contracting Solutions to do our lead abatement project. George and his team of contractors turned a stressful situation into something manageable. George was a wonderful communicator. When I called or texted him, he always responded immediately. That is rare to find a contractor, and I am so grateful that George was always available when I needed him.
If you have further questions about our experience with Tristate Contracting Solutions, I would be more than happy to speak with you about the project and experience working with this wonderful company.
